My old new heart…
Since we revived the Kiseki project we have received many emails from owners of Kiseki cartridges from the past. A lot to congratulate and to say “thank you” for bringing back this legend. Other people ask if it makes sense to repair their old one and some people just report something related to their cartridge from so long ago …
Peter Krogh from Denmark wrote us:
Some 20 years ago I owned an SME turntable and I used PurpleHeart Sapphire. I had 3 PHS cartridges, before I bought a BlackHeart. I used the BlackHeart for maybe 25 hours, before I tried an Ortofon.
When I wanted to switch back to the BlackHeart it was gone. I looked everywhere. It was simply gone. Never found it, though I found back the wooden-box some years later.
Last year I sold my house, and needed to move everything. In my attic, I had a shitload of HiFi magazines and other stuff. Everything was going in the trash. I also found a bag with record brushes and a Rega cartridge box.
I still wonder what made me look in that Rega box. But as you probably guessed by now…. There was my “long-gone” Blackheart. So at this moment I am playing an almost new Kiseki Blackheart. I am a happy man !
If you need pictures of “the miracle”, I wound be happy to supply (and Peter did; see the mobile phone taken picture here).
And I am very pleased to see that you guys now are helping audiophiles in desperate need for a “new” Kiseki cartridge.
As the king would say: Thank you. Thank you very much….
When the time comes, how much is a NOS edition of a Blackheart ??
I would like to add that a product is sometimes more than just a product. The Kiseki cartridges certainly belong to that “class”.
