Kiseki PurpleHeart and BlackHeart in the works…
How easy it seems … After having realized the limited range of Kiseki Blue N.O.S. cartridges we are now working on the Kiseki Blue N.S., which should perform as goods as the Kiseki Blue N.O.S.
At the same time we work on the Kiseki PurpleHeart N.O.S. and Kiseki BlackHeart N.O.S. cartridges.
It is certainly more than going into the attic and check what is available from the past, although that certainly is a romantic part of the job. What about finding back 1.3m2 of PurpleHeart wood … What a beautiful wood. I calculated and found that this wood is good for more than 4,000 cartridge bodies. Maybe I was a bit optimistic at that time J or was it a minimum amount of wood I had to buy. I don’t remember. I found other material which is enough to (re)create around 130 PurpleHeart bodies and around 50 BlackHeart bodies. So almost 200 in total.
Quite exciting and also quite some work to get this part of the project done. As next to the bodies we also have to deal with the internal parts … alu supports, front and back yokes, magnets, rubber damping, coils (and the winding of it), cantilevers and some mechanical parts as the name shield, the cantilever holder with the tiny screws, the spring wire, the contact plate, the packaging, stylus cover …
And not to forget the motivation to keep things going as there is nothing as slow in this speedy digital world as building phono cartridges …
